A linked advanced sequence danced entirely in and around shadow: enter via a shadow hammerlock, flow through side-waves and a travelling wave, then unwind out cleanly. It strings together the whole shadow vocabulary into one continuous chapter — the mark of a dancer who's truly comfortable in the same-facing connection.

• Lead: Lead each transition clearly — she can't see you in shadow, so every change of direction needs an unmistakable body lead. Keep the connection soft and the pace unhurried.
• Follow: Trust the lead's body and stay flowing; in shadow you read pressure and momentum, not sight. Keep your own waves alive through the travel.
• Timing: Let it unfold over a long slow passage — it's a chapter, not a sentence.
• Common mistake: Rushing the transitions or losing the connection on a direction change. In shadow, clarity beats speed every time. Keep it comfortable and consensual — close-position flow only with a willing partner.

The capstone of the shadow vocabulary — assumes Shadow (B026), the Back/Shadow Hammerlock (B085), the Exit (B086), and the travelling wave combo (B093) are all solid. Shadow itself is a safe position; the advanced skill is the unbroken flow and the clear leading through blind transitions.
