Tow Truck (Basket)

Also known as: Basket, La Grua

Both hands cross and the leader 'tows' the follower into a basket wrap behind him, her arms folded across in front — a compact, locked-up shape that looks far trickier than it leads.

What This Move Is

A wrap figure from a cross-hand hold. The leader draws the follower in and 'tows' her around into a basket position — arms crossed and wrapped — settling her just behind or beside him before towing her back out. The crossed hands do most of the work.

Lead & Follow It

The leader keeps the crossed hands low and leads the wrap with the body turning, not with arm strength. The follower keeps her arms soft and lets them be folded, never reaching or resisting the wrap.

The Thing Almost Everyone Gets Wrong

Forcing the wrap with the arms instead of leading it with rotation — that jams the shoulders. Let the turn of the bodies create the basket.

How It Connects

It resolves like any wrap, unwinding back to open position, and links naturally into hammerlock-family exits.
