Spin / Multiple Spins
SalsaAdvancedTurnsBoth
Free rotation on one axis. The follow's solo-spin technique — one lead, then momentum and spotting do the rest.

What This Move Is
After one clean prep and release, the follow spins freely on the ball of one foot. The second and subsequent rotations ride her residual energy rather than extra leading. Technique — balance, axis, and spotting — is what makes multiples possible.
Key Points
- Lead: Give one clean prep and release at the right count; don't keep "leading" the extra rotations.
- Follow: Centre your weight over the standing leg, snap the other foot in, engage the core, and spot — eyes fixed, head snaps last, re-finding the same point each rotation.
- Timing: On1 lead the first turn on beat 3; On2 on beat 1. Multiples ride momentum.
- Common mistake: Not spotting (dizziness, drift); splayed/collapsed weight instead of a single centred axis.
Style Notes
A double = spot twice and hold balance longer. Land cleanly on the beat; an off-balance landing kills the line even if the spin was fast.
