Reverse Cross-Body Lead
Also known as: Reverse CBL, back cross-body
The cross-body lead run in the other direction — the leader sends the follower across to the opposite side, opening up the mirror half of the line and a whole new set of exits.
What This Move Is
A cross-body lead that travels the opposite way to the standard one. Rather than sending the follower across to his left, the leader leads her to the other side, reversing the slot. It doubles the vocabulary by unlocking patterns that only work from the mirrored position.
Lead & Follow It
The leader prepares the new direction clearly so the follower is not surprised, then steps to open the reversed slot. The follower reads the changed lead and crosses on the new line, keeping her own straight track.
How It Connects
From the reversed position it flows into mirrored turns and hand changes; alternate it with the normal cross-body to keep a line run from feeling repetitive.
